Chapter 5 | 6 Unforgettable Restaurants Experiences in Milan!

Give Me Food

Tell me what you eat - I’ll tell you who you are.
— Brillat-Savarin

These are all the best restaurants I visited with my partner in Milan for the Prada runway show, you may want to add to your own to-do list! Last on our bucket list was Salumaio di Montenapoleone, an elegant restaurant of historic significance we were dying to try based on photos alone - not to mention Mediterranean is my favourite cuisine! It's a pity that it didn't happen in the end!

Seafood Restaurants in Langosteria

This was our last dinner. Despite a three-day intensive itinerary, jet lag and the dinner starting quite late (almost nine o'clock), I enjoyed this dinner very much. I adore seafood and freshness is king in Langosteria. Great care is taken in selecting raw materials and only the freshest seasonal ingredients are chosen. Each dish is unique and may not be available on the next visit. Because the ingredients are so fresh, mostly simple cooking methods are used to enhance the flavours of the sea. Seafood-lovers be sure to come and eat!

  • As the season changes so will the menu but this king crab dish is available year round! But its still no reason to miss it if you like shellfish!

Salumaio di Montenapoleone is a restaurant with a long history - passing from father to son for three generations. Opened in the center of Milan by the Travaini Family in 1957, Salumaio di Montenapoleone has always been known for its elegance and faithful observation of Italian cooking traditions. The restaurant is now located in the prestigious historic Bagatti Valsecchi building complete with the gastronomy, a café bistrot and a café where you can have your fill of Mediterranean cuisine. A great choice for art lovers that are looking to experience Italian culture!
