Chapter 6 | Gelato in Milano | Gelateria Marghera

Each day we were treated to an action packed itinerary. On this particular day, because we had spent longer than scheduled at FONDAZIONE PRADA, we ended up missing lunch time.

After gazing at The Last Supper with hungry eyes and stomachs, we had an hour of free time before heading to the showroom, perfect for a Gelato escape! Many people say when in Italy gelato is a must, so our driver Alex (It was really hard to pronounce his beautiful Italian name!) whisked us away to “the best gelato place”, Gelateria Marghera Milano

I had the Lime and Mango with cone and IT WAS REALLY GOOD!!  A blend of light flavours and creamy textures, it was also my first meal of the day, as I skipped breakfast at hotel because of my dietary restrictions at the time (gluten-free and dairy free).

Traditional gelato flavors are vanilla, chocolate, hazelnut, pistachio, cream , and stracciatella (fior-di-latte gelato with chocolate chunks), but today Gelateria Marghera and many other purveyors explode with “modern“ flavours and fusions with ingredient all around the world!!
