I cannot think of a more famous name in art than Leonardo da Vinci. Born April 15, 1452, he was an Italian painter, draftsman, sculptor, architect, and engineer whose brilliance epitomized the Renaissancehumanist ideal.
With an insatiable desire for knowledge guiding his thinking and behaviour, he considered his eyes to be his main tool for learning. So it’s fitting this show presented in collaboration by Beijing Great Wonders International and Italy's Cross Media Group focused heavily on“Optic Artistry” - building a narrative with hundreds of large-scale HD projected images and full-screen HD videos with 360-degree Dolby surround sound.
To Leonardo, sight was man’s highest sense. What would he think of these new digital eyes we have to admire his work through microscopy and VR?
